Much like a membership to a gym or streaming service, you pay a monthly fee to have access to the doctor. During the meet and greet, we discuss the cost and the services and expectations of both the patient and the physician. Texts, calls, email depending on the urgency of the condition.
Similar to car insurance, we believe that your insurance should cover the highest cost aspects of healthcare - truly necessary ER visits, medications, vaccinations, hospitalizations, and surgeries. The membership fee will not be filed to insurance and is directly billed to the member. Many patients choose a high deductible plan with a health savings account (HSA) that may be used to help cover the membership fee.
The membership is not insurance and we do recommend that patients carry health insurance to cover major healthcare expenses. We will not file any claims against the patient's health insurance policy or plan for reimbursement of any primary care services covered by the patient agreement.
Everyone needs healthcare at some point, but it is difficult to predict when that need will arise. When your child does need care, however, being able to contact a trusted physician for advice and care is priceless. We want you to be able to reach out to your child's doctor directly, not google! Or even worse, just worrying about it.
Of course you can always cancel the membership with 30 days notice if you feel this care is not a good fit for you or your child. If you hit financial hardship, we will work with you to prevent gaps in care. Please keep in mind that cancellation may result in a waiting period to rejoin.
Absolutely. We believe in prevention and evidence-based medical care, and vaccines have been proven to be safe and effective! We follow and recommend the CDC and AAP routine vaccination schedule that demonstrates the very best protection for your child.
